Sourgrass

One Spring I walked outside to find the building across the street had Oxalis Pes-Caprae plants, also known as Sourgrass, shooting up here and there near the entrance.

Sourgrass! I felt a familiar sense of happiness, probably harkening back to when I would encounter this plant as a child. It is edible and the flowers are almost fluorescent yellow. Although the plant had aroused a child-like joy, it is actually quite chic and elegant. I picked a few stems to take back to my house to draw. Inspired by these impressions, I set about making this collection of patterns.
